Transaction count after EXECUTE indicates a mismatching number of BEGIN and COMMIT statements. Previous count = 0, current count = 1.

Reason:
The reason for these errors are you might have attached the SharePoint content database in the destination SQL Server and may trying to create a Web application based on this restored database.

(Or)

You might have updated / changed the "Versions" table value in SharePoint Content Database after restoring the destination SQL Server.

Solution:
You need to update or install the Latest SharePoint Server 2010 Cumulative Update (CU). In most of the cases, the installation of "SharePoint 2010 Oct 2011 CU" will solve the problem.

But make sure that you have restarted your server twice to take effect the fix.

Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool': The local SharePoint server is not available. Check that the server is running and connected to the SharePoint farm

Error:
Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool': The local SharePoint server is not available. Check that the server is running and connected to the SharePoint farm.

Reason:
You will get this error, when you are trying to deploy the web part/solution through visual studio. The reason is the current logged-in user may not be the "db owner" in the content databases.

Solution:
To deploy the solution successfully, you need to map the current logged-in user as db_owner into the 3 databases.
1. SharePoint_Config
2. SharePoint_Admin_[GUID]
3. Your current web application that needs to deploy the Web part

For more info, check the below screenshot.

Error: Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository. If the repository being crawled is a SharePoint repository, verify that the account you are using has "Full Read" permissions on the SharePoint Web Application being crawled.

Error:
Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository. If the repository being crawled is a SharePoint repository, verify that the account you are using has "Full Read" permissions on the SharePoint Web Application being crawled.

Reason:
This error will occur, at the time of crawling the SharePoint application content. because, you may have provided a URL to access the SharePoint web application like http://kmportal.sensoft2000.com (just an example).
When the search engine tried to crawl the content using the kmportal.sensoft2000.com URL, the server will reject the request. because, it will take the request as "LoopBackRequest".

Solution:
So you need to disable the LoopBackRequest in registry. To do this, just follow my instructions:

1. Go to command window and type regedit.exe
2. Once opened the registry editor, just navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa"
3. Right click on "Lsa" and create a new 32bit DWORD value
4. Rename it as "DisableLoopbackCheck" (Note: you cannot rename it actually. so, once created the DWORD value, directly paste/type as "DisableLoopbackCheck".
5. Then again modify the value of "DisableLoopbackCheck" as "1"
6. Close the registry editor.
7. Now start to crawl the content.

"New" ribbon icon disabled in central admin

Issue:
You cannot see the "New" icon in the Ribbon menu, when you are trying to create any new web application or service through SharePoint 2010 central admin in windows 7 machine.

Reason & Solution
The reason is very simple. The Internet explorer is not opened using the administrator privileges. So, Open the Internet Explorer with "Run as Administrator" privileges. How to do this?

OK, I will explain you the steps here.

1. Just right click on the IE icon.
2. There you can see a menu as "Run as Administrator".
3. In IE, browse the application. You can see the "New" icon in Ribbon menu as below:

Getting Blank page instead of Central Admin after installing SharePoint 2010 in Windows 7

Issue:
You will get a blank page instead of Central admin page when you are trying to access the central admin page after installed and configured the SharePoint 2010 software in windows 7 machine.

Reason:
By default, some of the authentication providers may not be installed in Windows 7 machine (inside IIS). You can check the list of authentication providers by double click on the central administration site in IIS. See the sample screenshot below.

If you double click in the "Authentication" link as I specified in the above image, you cannot see the below authentication mechanisms:
1. Windows Authentication
2. Basic Authentication
3. Digest Authentication

If they are existing, they may not be enabled.

Solution:
To add these authentication mechanisms in IIS, open the Command Prompt and type the below command. Then, wait for 2 minutes.

Command

start /w pkgmgr /iu:IIS-WebServerRole;IIS-WebServer;IIS-CommonHttpFeatures;IIS-StaticContent;IIS-DefaultDocument;IIS-DirectoryBrowsing;IIS-HttpErrors;IIS-ApplicationDevelopment;IIS-ASPNET;IIS-NetFxExtensibility;IIS-ISAPIExtensions;IIS-ISAPIFilter;IIS-HealthAndDiagnostics;IIS-HttpLogging;IIS-LoggingLibraries;IIS-RequestMonitor;IIS-HttpTracing;IIS-CustomLogging;IIS-ManagementScriptingTools;IIS-Security;IIS-BasicAuthentication;IIS-WindowsAuthentication;IIS-DigestAuthentication;IIS-RequestFiltering;IIS-Performance;IIS-HttpCompressionStatic;IIS-HttpCompressionDynamic;IIS-WebServerManagementTools;IIS-ManagementConsole;IIS-IIS6ManagementCompatibility;IIS-Metabase;IIS-WMICompatibility;WAS-WindowsActivationService;WAS-ProcessModel;WAS-NetFxEnvironment;WAS-ConfigurationAPI;WCF-HTTP-Activation;WCF-NonHTTP-Activation

The command will be executed and you can see in IIS that these authentication mechanisms will be added. See the sample screenshot below:

Please make sure that the Windows Authentication should be enabled to access the SharePoint 2010 central administration page.

So, now you can browse the central admin page instead of blank page.
